Miscelaneous Designs

Won two first places in Addy Awards Dubuque, Iowa
Jaro was asked to create a calendar for a printing company in order that they could show off their printing techniques as well as to enter it in a design award contest.
In order to get this job, Jaro had to compete with three other designers. The deadline was short. Jaro won the right to design the calendar.
He decided to use a vector illustration software combined with Photoshop. It just so happened that his hibiscus plant was in bloom, so he took a traditional 35 mm photograph of the flower. After the photo of the flower was developed, Jaro scanned the photograph and applied different Photoshop techniques. He came up with a unique design and did the layout.
The calendar was printed in four colors, a glossy and matte varnishes, and also metallic finish.
The calendar won first place in design and first place for printing in the Addy Awards of Dubuque, Iowa.
